The services provided by Sara en Casa are not free of charge, as we ensure fair compensation for all our employees. We apply a fixed hourly rate per client for all our services, which includes the travel time of the caregiver. We work with two types of staff: employees directly employed by us, or self-employed caregivers (freelancers) whom we match for providing caregiving support.

No additional costs
Apart from the hourly rate, we do not charge any extra fees for registration, introductions, or mediation. The hourly rate for 2025 is €33 including VAT.

Surcharges for irregular working hours
For temporary support (e.g., for someone staying for the winter), adjusted and higher rates apply. We consider support of six weeks or less as temporary support.

Travel expenses
We charge travel expenses based on the following guidelines: Commuting (home to work): €0.23 per kilometer for our employees.

Travel expenses during working hours
If our employees travel together with the client (for example, to a medical appointment or an outing), the kilometers traveled are charged at €0.23 per kilometer. Any parking fees and other expenses, such as coffee or lunch, are also at the client’s expense.
